Friday Oct. 4, 2009: The Irish were called to the poll a second time in order to vote on the Lisbon Treaty.
Brigid Laffan, member of the EU-CONSENT Steering Group, took much effort as Chairperson of the Ireland for Europe Campaign in order to make sure that this time the grounds for further deepening were not blocked yet again. The campaign was successful and the Irish voted “Yes”. Thus, EU-CONSENT is sheering together with Brigid Laffan in expectation of the ratification of the Lisbon Treaty by the Polish and the Czech.
